About The Series

 

"I Take Thee Zoe" is a comedy created by Jeannette Bayardelle and Lawrence Stallings. The show is centered around the characters Zoe Baptiste (an actress) and her soon to be husband Kevin Bryant (an attorney), and how they take on the task of blending their very different lifestyles, careers, and families. Zoe desperately tries to adapt her over-the-top ways to Kevin's more traditional values. Unfortunately, she often misses the mark and lands on somebody's nerves. There’s also that pesky court-appointed anger management therapy that Zoe has to attend to stay out of jail as she and Kevin prepare for a life together.

 

Jeannette and Lawrence envisioned a classic sitcom that could appeal to cross-cultural audiences. The result is the romantic, nonsensical entertainment of "I Love Lucy"  with the wit and sass of  "The Jeffersons.”
